The Project Conception While conceiving a project that would utilize vibrant and volatile skies, the keeper of God’s damnation or healing, the Eye of God and those who are charged with the task of artistic integrity, R E Romero-Probst created this series within the veils of a literary project connecting the series to the conflict of worldly living and the preparation of an ethereal aftermath conceived within the book ‘The Rise and Fall of Mortal Eden’ where he merged the ‘Collectors Series’, which is his representation of our modern new millennium era of collectors charged with the acceptance or condemnation of those who conceive and attempt to display thoughts and ideas which influence our visions of mortal living within the arena of virtue and vice and interpret the character of our living or give us all insights as to the future path we may follow. This is represented in the collective art pieces of which each background is a 'Blood Red Sky' or 'Gold', both representing the corruption in living Those art pieces as well display the 'Eye of God'; a representation of that which created us and everything. Together, they represent the 'Prophetic contemplations in volume II; 'The Book of Life' in the collective works of R E Romero-Probst's book; ‘The Rise and Fall of Mortal Eden’. The integral component in the artistic part of the 'Collector Series' is the ‘Ethereal Beast': 'The Beast is ruled neither by the Emanation nor the Spectre. Nor does neither, the Devil nor the Grace rule the Beast. ' The Beast is the carrier of God's damnation and healing. The Beast is created as the judgment and is appeased or appalled by the actions of man.' The art piece; ‘The Judgment of the Arts, the Creation of the Blood-Red Sky', is the foundation for the 'Collector Series' and represents the axis and new-turning point of the integrity of Art. Here, the ‘Ethereal Beast' is displayed to us. The 'Ethereal Beast' manifested into this scene is the component that ties R E Romero-Probst's art pieces of the art collectors and art dealers with the entire project. ‘The Judgment of the Arts’ represents the acceptance or rejection of the ideas and forces conceived in art and literary works, created by both men and women, separating the mediocre from genius. The “Eye” of God, in command of the scene is seen above the Beast. The Beast devours the uninspired writers and artists, spilling their blood and turning the clouds red as the blood becomes clouds. A representation of the corrupt world we live in. Three renaissance maidens, representing the ‘newly created art’ are seen entering the gates leading to the viewing of their work and the decision of their acceptance or rejection and the outcome of their fate. Through the gate the Beast awaits. At the feet of the Beast lays the half devoured and lifeless bodies of all those who failed to create anything of worth within the glimmer of their short-lived lives, through the use of the tools God so graciously gave them. Lost into the pit of oblivion their mediocre paintings and writings slip away. To the right of the Beast, sitting atop a hill is a lone woman, at her side, an unspoiled painting, representing the very few who have honored God by creating an object of importance. “The Collectors” God and the Beast exist in each of us, and for those who take on the task of judging what is good or bad R E Romero-Probst created an art piece for each of these individuals. In the completion of this project over 200 of these individuals will be represented. These art pieces are the 'Collectors', and these are the faces of those who are entrusted with the task of making artistic judgments in regards to each individual who seeks to bring into public view their work. Each 'collector' in each painting is seen with the ‘Eye’ of God on each their being, all existing within the shadow of the Blood-Red sky. Each collector, empowered with the task of trying to separate the truth from the lie in art and literature, making or breaking those artistic persons and their ideas, thoughts, insights, inspirations, aspirations and interpretations. |
